Job summary

Centria Autism in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, implementing individualized intervention plans and teaching communication, social, and daily living skills. Training is provided; you will gain hands-on experience while helping families.

Pay range is $17-$20 per hour. You will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and complete necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Must be patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team.
• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and a TB test, and pass a background check.
• Mobility to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Use evidence-based techniques and reduce interfering behaviors.
