Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism in Michigan. You will implement individualized behavior plans under a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

Training is provided to new entrants, and you should be patient, compassionate, and a strong team member. Pay ranges between $17–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one behavioral intervention under BCBA guidance
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors
• Work with children with autism to reach their potential
• Conclude day with meaningful impact for child and family
