Job summary

Centria Autism in Detroit, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to join our team. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

This role emphasizes patience, teamwork, and compassion. We provide comprehensive training, and you will help children reach their full potential, often standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement behavior intervention plans.
• Follow guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and support independence.
• Stand, walk, sit, and assist with lifting and positioning as needed.
