Job summary

Centria Autism in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized intervention plans and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Benefits include comprehensive training; no prior experience required. Position requires physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds. Pay range is $17-$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and support progress.
• Be able to stand, walk, sit, and assist with lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
