Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under the guidance of a BCBA, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans and teaching communication, social, and daily living skills.

You will need patience and teamwork, complete comprehensive training provided, and be able to stand, walk, and assist children who may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when working with children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED obtained.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with a team to support each child’s goals.
