Job summary

Centria Autism in Maryland is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism by implementing individualized intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will work one-on-one to teach communication, social, and daily living skills using proven techniques.

Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, and team-oriented. Training is provided, and you should be able to stand, walk, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion for children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid; TB test if needed.
• Pass preemployment background check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• RBT certification required within 45 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance to implement behavior plans.
• Teach communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Monitor progress and collect data to adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain safety and support during sessions with children and families.
