Centria Autism in Chesapeake, VA is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, implementing individualized plans and teaching essential communication, social, and daily living skills.

All candidates must be patient and team-oriented; the role includes lifting up to 50 pounds, background checks, and the ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion to work with children with autism.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certification and TB test required.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification within 45 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior plans under a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with team and participate in onboarding and training.
• Support children in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
