Qualifications

• 3+ years in authorization processing, utilization management, or related healthcare operations.
• 1+ year of people leadership or team lead experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with authorization entry, verification, or auditing in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Experience with Regional Center funding, home care, healthcare services, managed care, or other payor-facing operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of authorization coordinators and specialists, assigning workloads and monitoring throughput.
• Ensure authorization accuracy and timely processing for entries in Salesforce.
• Conduct regular audits and coach the team to correct error patterns and improve turnaround times.
• Maintain dashboards and trackers for accuracy, turnaround time, and audit findings; escalate risks as needed.
• Coach and develop team members through feedback, 1:1s, and onboarding.
