Job summary

Hyatt Driskill in Austin seeks an Event Sales Manager to grow catering and event business by cultivating relationships with corporate clients, social planners, and local companies in the Austin market. You will manage inquiries from first contact to event execution, driving revenue and guest satisfaction in a luxury setting.

You will solicit new business, present customized solutions, and coordinate with operations, culinary, and banquet teams to ensure seamless events that meet revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hotel, catering, event sales or hotel sales experience.
• Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
• Strong understanding of catering sales, social events, and group business.
• Established connections within the Austin market are highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new catering, social, and corporate event business through prospecting and networking.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase local catering revenue and market share.
• Build relationships with local businesses, planners, and decision-makers.
• Conduct site tours and present customized event solutions for The Driskill's venues.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients to design events and coordinate menus, layouts, and timelines.
• Coordinate with operations, culinary, and banquet teams for flawless execution.
