Frost PLLC in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Audit Associate to join our CPA firm. You will work with experienced staff and partners, performing nationwide fieldwork for operational and financial audits and preparing work papers with conclusions and recommendations.

This role emphasizes independence, collaboration, and applying GAAP and auditing standards while maintaining 40 hours of CPE annually. Travel 40-60 nights per year is required. Hybrid work environment offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Ability to travel nationally to client sites (40–60 nights/yr).
• Current, valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work extended hours during busy season.

Responsibilities

• Complete audit testing on client financial statement segments with sufficient evidence.
• Prepare clear work papers with conclusions and recommendations.
• Work independently and collaboratively on engagements.
• Assist with fieldwork for operational and financial audits.
• Identify issues and apply auditing procedures and GAAP.
• Develop client relationships and maintain professional skepticism.
• Maintain 40 hours of CPE annually and comply with firm procedures.
• Perform inventory observations and deliver high-quality audit results.
• Demonstrate understanding of computer systems used in the audit process.
