Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking an Auction Services Associate to maintain organized vehicle zones, prepare and process inventory, and support auction operations. You will document receipts, pair locators, capture photos, and secure keys to ensure readiness for sale.

This role requires accurate data entry, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work flexible hours, and operate outdoors. You will help train new associates and uphold EH&S standards on the lot.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily inventory appearance and security.
• Document and track incoming/outgoing inventory through shipping and receiving processes.
• Receive, prepare, and process vehicles—pair locators, capture photos, and secure keys.
• Support auction operations with preparation and coordination.
• Contribute to new associate training.
• Complete daily inventory scanning and reconciliation.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep the work area clean.
