Job summary

R+L Carriers in Wilmington, Ohio seeks an Attorney - Director of Benefits Administration to lead the benefits team. You will oversee leave, insurance, and workers’ compensation programs, and drive compliance across local, state and national levels.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, you will craft plan design changes, conduct financial analyses, and manage vendor relationships. The role requires a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. required from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in OH or other states is required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Excellent time and project management abilities.
• Ability to lead a HR benefits team and drive internal communications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer benefits programs and workers’ compensation.
• Develop compliant benefit strategies and maintain plan documentation.
• Provide recommendations for plan design changes and new offerings.
• Perform financial analyses, cost estimates, and budgeting for benefits.
• Manage relationships with vendors and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (FMLA, LOA, ADA).
