Job summary

United Community Banks Inc. is seeking an ATM & Card Operations Specialist to support debit and credit card programs and the ATM network.

You will interact with bankers and the contact center to ensure smooth operations and excellent service, handling card processing, maintenance, and inquiries. This role requires regulatory knowledge, strong communication, independence, and proficiency with Microsoft Office plus internal systems.

Qualifications

• Regulatory knowledge of banking rules.
• Excellent customer service and office environment ability.
• Ability to work independently during single-person shift rotations.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with internal systems and web-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Process new and replacement debit cards using multiple systems.
• Maintain debit card accounts and answer transaction queries.
• Review rejected orders and manage lost/stolen card reports.
• Log returned mail and identify cards for closure.
• Respond to Debit Card/ATM/ITM inquiries by phone or email.
• Monitor ATM/ITM status and trigger service calls when needed.
• Cross-train across department functions.
