Job summary

Securian Financial Group is seeking a Regional Sales Director to drive profitable growth across its employee benefits portfolio (Group Life, AD&D, Supplemental Health/Voluntary Benefits) within an assigned territory. This field-focused role collaborates with the Regional Sales VP to develop and execute a comprehensive territory sales strategy and to build strong channel partner relationships.

Qualifications

Proven successful sales experience in employee benefits or related field.
Ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles with mid-to-large employers.
Broad knowledge of group benefits and insurance ecosystem, with Life, AD&D, and Voluntary Benefits expertise.

Responsibilities

Own and execute the territory sales strategy across Group Life, AD&D, and Supplemental Health/Voluntary Benefits to achieve growth.
Develop and expand channel partner relationships within the territory to deepen presence and pipeline.
Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, partnerships, market development, and employer engagement.
Manage the sales process from identification to close, including RFPs, proposals, negotiations, and presentations.
Apply a consultative, multi-product approach to meet employer needs with Life and Supplemental Health solutions.
Collaborate with VP and internal teams to align territory priorities and deliver objectives.
Provide competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and service offerings.
