Job summary

Securian Financial Group seeks a Regional Sales Director to drive profitable growth across our employee benefits portfolio in an assigned territory. You will own the sales strategy for Group Life, AD&D, and Supplemental Health/Voluntary Benefits, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.

In this role, you will expand channel partner relationships, collaborate with internal teams, and travel approximately 50% to meet employers and partners.

Qualifications

• Proven successful sales experience in employee benefits, insurance, or complex B2B environments.
• Ability to generate and secure sales in mid-to-large employers and manage complex consultative cycles.
• Broad knowledge of group benefits including Life, AD&D, and Voluntary Benefits; Disability/Absence solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute territory sales strategy across Life, AD&D, and Voluntary Benefits to drive growth.
• Expand channel partner relationships and develop new opportunities within the territory.
• Manage the sales process from prospecting to close, including RFPs, proposals, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions and communicate value proposition.
