Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking an Assistant Director - Event Operations to plan, coordinate, and execute home athletic events across 17 NCAA Division I sports.

The role serves as the primary on-site event manager, coordinating logistics with visiting teams, officials, and campus partners; supporting facilities upgrades and staff supervision, with night, weekend, and holiday work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sport/event/business administration or related field.
• Experience in athletic event operations or facility operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, coordination, and execution of home athletic events across MTSU's 17 NCAA Division I sports.
• Serve as the primary on-site event manager for assigned sports and events; coordinate logistics with visiting teams, game officials, and campus partners.
• Support special events and external facility use; assist with operational planning for capital projects including stadium renovations.
• Maintain Athletics inventory records and assist with hiring, training, and supervising graduate assistants, student workers, and event staff.
• Night, weekend, and holiday work is required.
