Job summary

Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN seeks an Event Operations Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee the Event Management team’s venue setup, strike, and summer housing functions. Qualifications

• Supervise two full-time Event Operations Coordinators and a seasonal workforce.
• Manage departmental budgets and invoices for venue setup, strikes, and summer housing.
• Coordinate with campus partners and external vendors to ensure successful events and housing operations.
• Oversee venue setup/strike schedules, staffing, equipment, linen orders, and housing logistics.

Responsibilities

• Create venue setup/strike schedules using EMS data and Google Calendar.
• Oversee staff levels and labor allocation for events from small meetings to 5,000+ attendees.
• Coordinate with event planners and campus departments on requirements, timelines, and logistics.
• Manage inventory, procurement, maintenance, and replacements for equipment and furniture.
• Lead summer housing operations for up to 1,500 overnight guests, including dates, room assignments, and occupancy.
• Ensure emergency procedures, evacuation plans, and housing documentation are maintained.
