Job summary

California State University, Long Beach invites applications for the Associate Athletics Director, Development. The role leads major and principal gifts, oversees annual and planned giving, and supervises development staff to advance Long Beach State Athletics.

Work with campus partners, coaches, and donors to build meaningful relationships, manage a high-value portfolio, and ensure compliant stewardship while pursuing ambitious fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Three years of demonstrated fundraising experience required (minimum).
• Capital Campaign experience preferred; experience with major gifts is a plus.
• Ability to build and manage a high-value donor portfolio and collaborate across campus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and solicit gifts of $25,000+ from individuals, business, and foundations.
• Lead athletics development strategy, annual and planned giving, budgeting, and staff supervision.
• Coordinate with University Relations and campus partners to align fundraising priorities.
• Serve on senior staff to plan and implement department goals and objectives.
• Oversee sport programs and ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules.
