California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks an Associate Athletics Director, Development to lead major gifts and donor relations for the Athletics Department. You will collaborate with university leadership and external partners to advance fundraising priorities and ensure ethical stewardship of philanthropic resources.

The role requires strategic oversight of annual and planned giving, supervision of development staff, and alignment with campus priorities to support Long Beach State

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a baccalaureate degree and three years of demonstrated successful fundraising experience required.
• Five years of experience preferred. Capital Campaign experience preferred.
• Valid California driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and solicit philanthropic gifts of $25,000+ from individuals, business, corporations and foundations to support Long Beach State Athletics.
• Provide strategic leadership for planning, implementing, and evaluating the athletics development program, including annual and planned giving, campaigns, budgeting, donor engagement, and staff supervision.
• Serve as liaison between Long Beach State Athletics and University Relations and Development, aligning fundraising strategies with campus priorities.
• Support Executive Director of Athletics in planning, implementing, and evaluating department goals and objectives.
• Oversee assigned sports programs, ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules while guiding program development.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
