Job summary

California State University Long Beach is seeking an Assistant Director of Development to independently manage a donor portfolio and solicit gifts supporting CNSM. The role builds relationships with alumni, prospects, donors, and community members while providing project management and event support.

The ideal candidate will steward donors, travel locally to cultivate relationships, and collaborate with volunteers, faculty, staff and campus partners.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
• Higher education and fundraising experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain a portfolio of donor prospects for annual and major gifts.
• Prepare proposals, impact reports, and donor communications.
• Coordinate cultivation and stewardship activities and board committee efforts.
