Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is seeking an Associate Athletics Director, Development to lead major gifts fundraising and donor stewardship for the athletics department. You will shape strategy, manage a high-performing team, and partner with campus leaders to advance fundraising priorities.

Responsibilities include securing gifts, guiding annual and planned giving, and supervising development staff while ensuring compliance with NCAA and university policies.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a baccalaureate degree and three years of demonstrated successful fundraising experience required.
• Five years of fundraising experience preferred. Capital Campaign experience preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts of $25,000 or more from individuals, business, corporations, and foundations.
• Provide strategic leadership for planning, implementation, and evaluation of the athletics development program.
• Collaborate with campus partners to align fundraising strategies and donor engagement.
• Serve on the Executive Director of Athletics' Senior Staff to plan, implement, and evaluate department goals.
• Oversee assigned sports programs to ensure NCAA, conference, and institutional compliance.
