Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks an Assistant Director of Development to manage a portfolio of donor prospects and solicit gifts to support CNSM. You will cultivate relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners while providing project management and event support.

You will lead efforts to secure annual leadership and major gifts, write donor-centric marketing collateral, and coordinate stewardship activities with college leadership and the board.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience required.
• Higher Education and fundraising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, build and maintain a portfolio of donor prospects and solicit annual leadership and major gifts of $250,000+
• Write thank you letters, design and produce donor centric marketing collateral and publications (e.g., impact reports, proposals, case statements), including digital collateral (e.g., social media, website), and other relevant materials in support of fundraising initiatives.
• Coordinate cultivation and stewardship activities and board committee activities related to funding development.
