Job summary

Xometry, a leading on-demand manufacturing marketplace, seeks an early-career engineer for a foundational role as Associate Solutions Engineer. This role supports internal teams and external customers, leveraging technical empathy to deliver manufacturing solutions across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include quoting support, cost-modeling, supplier coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to bridge engineering, sales, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Experience with CNC machining, additive manufacturing, wire harness, sheet metal and welding.
• 3–5 years in engineering/manufacturing role.

Responsibilities

• Support quoting, data organization, and creation of BOMs, RFQs, and specifications.
• Assist with cost-modeling and quoting-tool development.
• Coordinate with suppliers; track quality documents throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Bridge engineering, sales, and operations in cross-functional meetings.
• Lead a capstone project to improve process efficiency (e.g., automation or dashboards).
• Develop and demonstrate DFx best practices across manufacturing disciplines.
