Job summary

Xometry is seeking an early-career engineer to join its Solutions Engineering team as an Associate Solutions Engineer. You’ll support quoting, data organization, and technical documentation for complex customer programs, including BOMs and RFQs, while helping develop internal cost models and quoting tools.

You will coordinate with suppliers, track quality documents, and participate in cross-functional meetings to bridge engineering, sales, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required—Mechanical Engineering preferred (Manufacturing/Aerospace also acceptable).
• Foundational knowledge of manufacturing, CNC, additive, wire harness assembly, sheet metal and welding.
• 3–5 years engineering/manufacturing experience; prior experience with Xometry A&D customers is a plus.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings and GD&T, and to manage multi-line data in spreadsheets/ERP/CRM.

Responsibilities

• Support quoting, data organization, and creation of technical documentation for complex customer programs (BOMs, RFQs, specs).
• Assist with internal cost-modeling and quoting-tool development to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers, track quality documents, and support the solution lifecycle from award to delivery.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to bridge engineering, sales, and operations.
• Lead a capstone project to improve process efficiency (e.g., automate a quoting workflow or develop a reporting dashboard).
• Demonstrate best practices in manufacturing disciplines relevant to customers and partners (DFx).
