Xometry is seeking a Manufacturing Solutions Engineer for Aerospace & Defense to support Sales with technical insight, project leadership, and customer engagement. You will blend engineering know‑how with practical manufacturing knowledge to advance complex opportunities and deliver high‑value quotes.

The role requires deep aerospace experience, strong CAD/DFM instincts, and the ability to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years aerospace/defense engineering and manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and GDT concepts.
• Familiar with ISO9001, AS9100d, ITAR, NIST compliance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and sales to drive account growth and retention.
• Analyze projects, prepare accurate quotes with correct scope and costs.
• Lead on-site visits with customers when appropriate.
• Identify manufacturing challenges and propose DFM improvements.
• Gather feedback to inform sales strategies and roadmap.
• Provide project management oversight for complex opportunities.
• Support Pre-Sales with knowledge gathering and quotes.
