Job summary

Xometry is seeking an experienced and charismatic Senior Solutions Engineer to support Sales with technical guidance and project leadership in aerospace and defense manufacturing. This role blends customer engagement, engineering expertise, and project management to provide value from front lines through delivery.

You will partner with Account Executives, translate customer needs into competitive quotes, and shepherd complex opportunities to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of relevant aerospace/defense engineering and manufacturing experience.
• Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100d, ITAR, NIST compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work remotely/digital.
• Ability to travel 25–35% to customer/partner sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention.
• Discover, illuminate, digest, organize and execute major projects.
• Join Account Executives in onsite visits with customers when appropriate.
• Proactively identify and address manufacturing challenges (including DFM).
• Gather customer insights to inform sales strategies.
• Assist Pre-Sales with knowledge gathering and competitive quotes.
• Provide project management oversight on complex opportunities.
