Job summary

Xometry, a leading on-demand manufacturing platform, seeks an Associate Solutions Engineer for Aerospace & Defense. You will support quotes, BOM creation, and technical documentation while aiding internal cost-modeling and tool development.

You’ll coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to streamline the solution lifecycle from quote to delivery. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and hands-on manufacturing knowledge (CNC, additive, sheet metal, welding).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of key manufacturing principles (CNC, additive manufacturing, sheet metal, welding).
• Experience in CAD and interpreting drawings (GD&T).
• Experience in data management (Excel/ERP/CRM).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision and learning new processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and documentation for complex customer programs, including BOMs, RFQs, and specs.
• Assist with internal cost-modeling and quoting-tool development to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers, track quality documentation, and support the solution lifecycle from award to delivery.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to bridge engineering, sales, and operations.
• Lead a capstone project to improve process efficiency, such as automating quotes or dashboards.
• Develop and demonstrate DFx best practices across manufacturing disciplines.
