Xometry in Waltham, MA is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer for Aerospace & Defense. You will be an early-career engineer linking sales, operations, partners and customers to deliver manufacturing solutions.

The role emphasizes technical empathy, documentation, and collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 3–5 years in engineering/manufacturing, CAD (SolidWorks) proficiency, and GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years in engineering/manufacturing, including internships or co-ops.
• Experience with CAD tools, SolidWorks preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T, BOMs, RFQs and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support quoting, data organization, and technical documentation for complex programs.
• Assist with internal cost-modeling and quoting-tool development.
• Coordinate supplier communications and track quality documents.
• Bridge engineering, sales and operations in cross-functional meetings.
• Lead capstone project to improve process efficiency or automation.
• Demonstrate DFx best practices across manufacturing disciplines.
