Job summary

LTIMindtree is seeking a senior mainframe developer in the United States (Alpharetta, GA area) to participate in requirements analysis, impact assessment, and to design, develop, and maintain mainframe components. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership to drive teams and ensure adherence to coding and security standards.

• Hands-on senior resources with expertise in mainframe technologies (Cobol, JCL).
• Expertise in VSAM, DB2 and CICS required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis and impact assessment for enhancements, defect fixes, modernization or regulatory changes.
• Design, develop, enhance and maintain application components using standard mainframe technologies ensuring alignment with client's approved coding, security and architectural standards.
• Perform analysis, coding, unit testing and documentation for batch programs, online transactions and interfaces running on the mainframe platform.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects.
• Support system testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) by providing defect fixes, data corrections and validation support.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, release planning and operational readiness activities.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
