Job summary

LTIMindtree in Hartford, CT seeks an experienced Java Modernization Engineer to refactor legacy applications to Java 15 and migrate HTTP to HTTPS, leveraging AWS Transform for accelerated upgrades. The role emphasizes secure, scalable modernization within cloud-native contexts.

The candidate should bring 5–10 years of software engineering, 3 years in modernization initiatives, and strong DevOps, AWS, and security tooling experience to drive enterprise-scale transformation.

Qualifications

• Experience in AWS-based modernization programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess legacy Java applications for modernization opportunities.
• Refactor and upgrade Java applications to Java 15 ensuring code quality, compatibility and performance improvements.
• Convert existing HTTP-based applications to HTTPS implementing SSL/TLS security best practices.
• Leverage AWS modernization services/tools to automate and accelerate application modernization.
• Resolve code dependency, framework and build compatibility issues during migration.
• Modernize application architecture and prepare applications for cloud-native deployment.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, security teams and business stakeholders.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployment validation.
• Document modernization strategies, transformation outcomes and technical recommendations.
• Support CI/CD integration and automated deployment processes.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Modernization Engineer to support the transformation and modernization of legacy enterprise applications The role involves refactoring legacy Java applications to Java 15 converting existing HTTPbased applications to HTTPS and leveraging AWS modernization tools such as Amazon Transform to accelerate application upgrades improve security and enhance maintainability Experience in application modernization cloud adoption and code transformation initiatives is essential

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess legacy Java applications for modernization opportunities

Variable Compensation: This position includes a bonus or variable payout component based on individual and organizational performance. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
