Job summary

LTIMindtree is seeking a Senior Mainframe Technical Lead Architect to drive architecture, modernization, and ongoing support of enterprise mainframe applications for major US clients. You will lead global delivery teams and engage with client stakeholders to shape solutions.

The role requires deep COBOL/JCL/DB2/CICS/VSAM expertise and a track record of large-scale transformation in Insurance, Financial Services or Banking domains, with strong production support credentials.

Qualifications

• 17 years of hands-on mainframe design, development, modernization and support experience.
• Deep COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM and Mainframe Utilities expertise with production support and large-scale transformations.
• Experience in Insurance, Financial Services or Banking domain is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Mainframe development, enhancement, modernization and support initiatives.
• Define technical architecture and solution design for enterprise mainframe applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and client leadership to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and support teams.
• Drive performance, capacity planning and scalability improvements.
• Lead code reviews and design reviews, ensuring development standards are met.
• Manage complex production incidents, root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Support migration and modernization with Mainframe integration to distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Coordinate with offshore and onsite teams for seamless project execution.
