Job summary

PGIM, Inc. is seeking an Associate Manager in the Management Reporting Analysis (MRA) group in Newark, NJ. You will support the firmwide AUM reporting process, ensuring data is complete, accurate, and delivered on time for senior management and partners.

The role offers exposure to PGIM’s investment businesses and opportunities to develop expertise in investment reporting, data analysis, controls, and stakeholder management. Hybrid work arrangement with some in-office collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related subject preferred.
• 4+ years of business experience in asset management, investment operations, financial reporting, management reporting, accounting, or data analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate data discrepancies and identify causes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, reporting integrity, and effective controls.
• Ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into actionable information for stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple recurring deliverables and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, including reviewing work and developing junior team members.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across investment, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with large data sets, formulas, pivots, lookups, and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of investment products and structures such as fixed income, equities, alternatives, and real estate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and quarterly AUM data collection, validation, reconciliation and reporting across strategies, products, and units.
• Analyze AUM activity and asset flows; investigate period-over-period changes and data discrepancies.
• Review data submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Marketing, Client Management, Retirement, and investment teams to validate AUM data.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc AUM reporting for senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain controls, documentation, and procedures supporting AUM reporting integrity.
• Review work of junior team members and provide guidance and feedback.
• Supervise a small team (1–2) and prioritize deliverables during cycles.
• Communicate data requirements and reporting updates clearly to partners and team.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve data quality, and reduce manual processes.
• Support system enhancements, reporting initiatives, audits, and other projects impacting AUM data.
