Prudential Financial, Inc. in Newark, NJ is seeking an Associate Manager in Management Reporting Analysis to support firmwide AUM reporting.

You will ensure data integrity, collaborate across Finance, Compliance, Marketing, and Investment teams, and help deliver timely insights for senior leadership. The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) with opportunities to develop expertise in investment reporting, controls, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related subject preferred.
• 4+ years in asset management, investment operations, financial reporting, or data analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy and controls.
• Ability to interpret large data sets and translate to actionable insights.
• Experience managing multiple recurring deliverables and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience over junior staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.
• Advanced Excel skills for large data, pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with investment products and structures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and quarterly AUM data collection, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Analyze AUM activity and asset flows; investigate changes and discrepancies.
• Review data submissions for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Coordinate with Finance, Compliance, Marketing, Client Management, Retirement, and Investment teams to validate AUM data.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc AUM reporting for senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain controls, documentation, and review procedures for AUM reporting integrity.
• Review junior team members' work and provide guidance and feedback.
• Supervise and develop a small team (1–2) during reporting cycles.
• Communicate process changes and data requirements clearly to partners.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and reduce manual processes.
• Support system enhancements, audits, and special AUM projects.
• Manage competing priorities and peaks in reporting periods.
