Job summary

PGIM, the global asset management arm of Prudential, seeks a Senior Analyst/Associate for the Strategy group in Newark, NJ. You will work on high-impact projects, perform market and competitor analyses, and prepare strategic recommendations for senior leaders.

The role offers hybrid work with three days in the Newark office and opportunities for mentorship from senior business leaders. You will engage in diligence on potential acquisitions, evaluate market entry strategies, and present findings

Qualifications

• BA required with strong academic background.
• 2-4 years of experience, preferably in internal strategy, management consulting, or banking.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Passion for problem solving.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Executive presence and composure to interact with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop problem statements and structure problem solving approaches to PGIM’s most critical challenges.
• Establish the fact-base to aid in answering the PGIM senior management’s most pressing questions.
• Conduct strategic analyses of markets, competitors, products, and client segments to identify growth opportunities across PGIM's global investment businesses.
• Prepare presentations and recommendations for senior executives, management committees, and board-level discussions.
• Lead competitor intelligence, industry benchmarking, and thematic research initiatives covering traditional and alternative asset management.
• Support corporate development, partnership evaluation, and business planning efforts through commercial due diligence and financial analysis.
• Coordinate cross-functional strategic initiatives, working closely with investment, distribution, finance, and corporate leadership teams to drive execution of key priorities
