Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking an Associate HR Business Partner to join its People Team and support production facilities in Centreville, MD. This highly execution-focused role partners with hourly teams, supervisors, and management to align HR strategy with rapid growth.

You will handle employee relations, onboarding, leave policies, performance and talent management, and cross-functional projects with centers of excellence. The position requires 2+ years HRbp/HR support and a degree in business/HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or Organizational Development preferred; SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP Certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an HR support role or HR Business Partner experience.
• Experience supporting a production, distribution or high-growth, fast-paced and complex work environment.
• Experience with large population of hourly employees and providing regional support is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to confidently interface with all levels of the organization.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective organization and planning skills – our systems and processes are manual and at times, administrative – must be able to keep up with proper documentation, filing and follow-up.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and coaching skills.
• Operationally strong, detail obsessed; sees the big picture and connects details to strategy.

Responsibilities

• Culture Champion: scale and enhance culture related to employee engagement and being a best place to work in cannabis.
• Employee Relations: serve as a confidential resource; investigate issues and advise business leaders.
• Manage Administrative Routines: onboarding, new hire orientation, employee data maintenance, payroll changes, safety records, state badges.
• Execution of Programs and Processes: roll-out and maintain scalable HR programs.
• Relationship Management: build strong relationships with site leadership and cross-functional People team.
• Employment Law and Leave Policies/Administration: aware of federal/state law; assist with leave processes.
• Talent and Performance Management: identify needs and gaps; support new solutions to close gaps.
• Project Management Support: collaborate on one-off projects with Centers of Excellence.
