Job summary

Green Key Resources seeks an experienced HR Business Partner in the Alexandria, VA area for a hybrid role supporting employee relations, talent initiatives, and workforce effectiveness. You will partner with leadership to address complex workplace matters and strengthen management practices.

This position balances day-to-day ER with broader people strategies and leadership development, requiring 7+ years HR experience and ability to influence across levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR or related field.
• 7+ years HR experience with ~4–5 years as HR business partner.
• Experience advising leadership on employee relations and compliance.
• Experience managing investigations and complex ER matters.
• Experience with talent management and leadership development.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers on employee relations, investigations, and policy interpretation.
• Partner with legal counsel on sensitive employment matters and compliance.
• Guide organizational changes, workforce planning, and business decisions.
• Develop engagement, retention, and workplace effectiveness initiatives.
• Support performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Coach managers on conflict resolution and leadership practices.
• Review workforce trends and feedback to identify improvements.
• Collaborate on HR programs, process improvements, and organizational initiatives.
• Use HR data to support reporting and inform decisions.
