Job summary

Green Thumb in Rhode Island seeks an Associate HR Business Partner to join our People Team at the Warwick production facility. You will work under the Regional HRBP, aligning business objectives, HR strategy, and talent to scale our growth and support hourly teams and supervisors.

This execution-focused role handles employee relations, onboarding, policy administration, and program rollout while ensuring compliance with state laws and GMP standards in the cannabis industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or organizational development preferred
• 2+ years HR experience in support or HRBP role
• Experience supporting a production, distribution or high-growth environment
• Experience with a large hourly workforce and regional support is a plus

Responsibilities

• Culture Champion—scale culture and improve employee engagement.
• Handle employee relations with confidential investigations and guidance to leaders.
• Manage administrative routines (onboarding, pay changes, data maintenance, safety records).
• Roll out and maintain HR programs for consistency and scalability.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with site leadership and People team.
• Be familiar with federal/state employment laws and leave policies; partner on leave processes.
• Identify talent needs and support solutions to close gaps and build bench strength.
• Support one-off projects and process improvements with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and other centers of excellence.
