Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an Associate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to shape and execute worker safety and environmental compliance programs at our Sioux Falls site. You will support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 efforts, drive audits, and lead incident investigations to drive corrective actions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in EHS and 3+ years of experience, with strong leadership, training, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, health and safety or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience, with leadership or project management experience.
• Experience training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and on-call status when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support location safety and environmental programs to align with regulatory and company standards.
• Maintain EMS and SIPS and participate in internal EHS audits; drive ISO 14001/45001 programs.
