Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an EHS Specialist to join our Environmental, Health and Safety team in Wilson, NC. You will help manage and improve EHS systems, ensure regulatory compliance, deliver training, and support SIPs/EMS alignment across the site.

You will be involved in maintaining ISO standards, auditing programs, and coordinating incident investigations while collaborating with production and management. The role requires 2+ years of experience and flexibility for on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, health and safety or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant EHS experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting to location management.
• Track KPIs and assist with employee exposure surveys.
• Support safety and environmental programs, audits, and ISO efforts.
• Deliver OSHA and environmental training to staff.
• Assist incident investigations and close-out corrective actions.
