Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, public policy, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred in liberal arts discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years in enrollment management, admissions, student services, higher education, or related field.
  • Experience in advising, teaching, and/or administrative role in a university setting preferred (including at least 1 year of teaching at the post-secondary level).

Responsibilities

  • Provides primary intervention to students who have encountered academic difficulty.
  • Applies knowledge of retention strategies and helps students develop study decisions.
  • Conducts outreach to students based on faculty feedback and campus initiatives.
  • Counsels students about liberal arts education and degree pathways.
  • Connects students to College and campus resources for success and persistence.
  • Leads on issues related to Fresh Start policy and Sequential Second Degrees.
  • Develops programs to enhance retention and graduation rates.
  • Collaborates with advisors and offices to support student success.
