Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
• Minimum three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
• Minimum five years of experience in higher education

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute academic compliance initiatives aligned with the University Strategic Plan
• Collaborate with university stakeholders, maintain project plans and timelines, and achieve regulatory goals.
• Complete annual compliance activities to meet strategic priorities.
• Audit programs and locations for compliance with academic standards.
• Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicating concerns to the AVP of Academic Compliance.
• Prepare applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure advisory board meetings are documented properly.

• Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
• Keep updated on accreditation standards and develop resources to navigate regional differences.
• Create documentation illustrating standards variation across locations and programs.
• Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records and documentation on MyHerzing.
• Train university staff on standards and regulations.

• Project management for regulatory reporting
• Manage timelines, support, and quality assurance for compliance reporting.
• Collaborate on accreditation submissions with faculty and staff.
• Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities.
• Provide project status updates to leadership.

• Prepare for regulatory visits and meetings
• Conduct mock visits, maintain visit preparation resources, and train leaders.
• Represent the compliance team during visits and support logistics.

Supporting Strategic Growth

• Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
• Participate in strategic discussions and represent the university externally.
• Collaborate on accreditation for new programs and markets.
• Advise on approval processes and timelines.

Physical Requirements

• Up to 30% travel required.
• Remain stationary most of the time, with occasional movement around work locations.
• Operate equipment and communicate effectively.
