Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
- Minimum of five years of experience in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan
- Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to obtain desired outcomes with regulatory initiatives.
- Complete annual compliance activities as assigned to accomplish strategic priorities.
- Audit programs and locations of assigned areas to ensure readiness and compliance with academic standards.
- Assess for potential and existing areas of vulnerability and risk as it relates to accreditation and regulatory compliance and communicate identified concerns with AVP of Academic Compliance for intervention.
- Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities with accuracy to meet established timelines and strategic priorities.
- Coordinate with location and program leadership to ensure advisory board meetings are conducted and documented appropriately.
- Maintain institutional knowledge and awareness of regulatory standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge/repositories of standards and procedures for assigned areas and locations.
- Develop resources to navigate varying standards across regions and programs.
- Develop and maintain documents illustrating standard variations with deadlines and timeframes.
- Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation, project plans, and resources on MyHerzing.
- Keep records of submission dates for follow-up.
- Provide training on regulatory standards to university constituents.
Project management for regulatory reporting- Manage timelines, support, and quality assurance for objectives and reporting.
- Design and assemble accreditation and regulatory submissions collaboratively.
- Review standards and recommend actions for leadership.
- Communicate project status and needs assessments to leadership.
- Promote regulatory visit readiness
- Execute mock visits and maintain visit preparation resources.
- Prepare leaders for regulatory visits and meetings.
- Represent the compliance team during visits and provide support.
- Assist with logistics for site visitors.
Strategic Growth:
- Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
- Participate in strategic calls for new or discontinued programs.
- Represent the university professionally with external regulators.
- Support accreditation for new programs and markets.
- Advise on approval processes and timelines.
- Collaborate on clinical development for new programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Up to 30% travel required.
- Remain stationary most of the time; move around as needed.
- Operate equipment and communicate effectively.
