Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
- At least three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
- At least five years of experience in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute academic compliance initiatives in line with the University Strategic Plan
- Collaborate with university stakeholders, maintain project plans and timelines to meet regulatory goals.
- Complete annual compliance activities as assigned.
- Audit programs and locations for readiness and compliance with academic standards.
- Identify and communicate vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance to the AVP of Academic Compliance.
- Prepare applications and reports for regulatory bodies accurately and timely.
- Coordinate with leadership to ensure advisory board meetings are conducted and documented properly.
- Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
- Keep updated on standards and procedures for accreditation and compliance.
- Create resources to navigate standards across regions and programs.
- Develop documentation illustrating standard variations and deadlines.
- Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records and documentation on MyHerzing for assigned areas.
- Provide training on regulatory standards to university staff.
- Manage regulatory reporting projects
- Support project timelines and quality assurance for compliance reporting.
- Collaborate on accreditation submissions with faculty and staff.
- Review standards and suggest improvements to leadership.
- Update leadership on project status and timelines.
- Prepare for regulatory visits, presentations, and meetings
- Conduct mock visits to ensure readiness.
- Maintain resources for on-site visits.
- Train leaders for regulatory presentations.
- Ensure consistent visit experiences across locations.
- Represent the compliance team during visits and meetings.
- Assist with logistics for site visits.
- Support strategic growth of the university
- Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
- Participate in strategic discussions on program launches and discontinuations.
- Represent the university with external regulatory bodies.
- Advise on accreditation processes for new programs and markets.
- Collaborate on clinical development for new programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Up to 30% travel required.
- Remain stationary most of the time; move around as needed.
- Operate equipment such as computers and clinical tools.
- Communicate verbally with students and staff.
- Observe and assess environments visually or otherwise.
