Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
• Minimum of five years of experience in a higher education environment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan
  • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to obtain desired outcomes with regulatory initiatives.
  • Complete annual compliance activities as assigned to accomplish strategic priorities.
  • Audit programs and locations of assigned areas to ensure readiness and compliance with academic standards.
  • Assess for potential and existing areas of vulnerability and risk related to accreditation and regulatory compliance, and communicate concerns with the AVP of Academic Compliance.
  • Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with location and program leadership for advisory board meetings, documentation, and communications.
• Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Keep updated on state, institutional, and programmatic accreditation standards and procedures.
  • Develop resources for navigating standards across regions and programs.
  • Document variations in standards, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain records, documentation, and training materials on MyHerzing.
• Manage regulatory reporting projects
  • Support project timelines, quality assurance, and submission processes.
  • Collaborate on accreditation and regulatory submissions.
  • Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities for compliance improvements.
  • Report project status and needs to senior leadership.
• Ensure readiness for regulatory visits and meetings
  • Conduct mock visits and prepare documentation for on-site visits.
  • Prepare leaders for regulatory presentations.
  • Represent the compliance team during visits and support logistical needs.
• Position the University for strategic growth
  • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
  • Participate in strategic planning for new program launches and market entries.
  • Advise on accreditation processes and timelines.
  • Collaborate with clinical development teams as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Up to 30% travel required.
• Remain stationary most of the time; move around as needed.
• Operate equipment, including computers and clinical devices.
• Communicate verbally with students and staff; observe and assess environments.
