Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • At least three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum of five years in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Execute academic compliance initiatives
    • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans, and meet timelines for regulatory initiatives.
    • Complete annual compliance activities and conduct audits to ensure standards are met.
    • Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, reporting concerns to the AVP of Academic Compliance.
    • Complete applications and reports for regulatory bodies accurately and timely.
    • Coordinate advisory board meetings, document minutes, and track action items.
  2. Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
    • Keep updated on accreditation standards and develop resources to navigate regional and programmatic variations.
    • Maintain documentation and records on MyHerzing, including submission deadlines.
    • Provide training on regulatory standards to university staff.
  3. Manage regulatory reporting projects
    • Oversee project timelines, support accreditation submissions, and review standards for improvement opportunities.
    • Communicate project statuses to senior leadership.
  4. Prepare for regulatory visits and meetings
    • Conduct mock visits, prepare documentation, and train leaders for on-site visits.
    • Support logistical needs for visits, including reservations and accommodations.
  5. Support strategic growth
    • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
    • Participate in strategic discussions regarding program launches and market entry.
    • Collaborate with leaders on accreditation processes for new initiatives.
Physical Requirements
  • Up to 30% travel required
  • Must remain stationary most of the time, with periodic movement around the work location
  • Ability to operate equipment and communicate effectively
