Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director of Global Learning & Development to partner with Oncology Business Leaders, translating business goals into impactful learning strategies. This role builds sponsorship, enables learning solutions, and oversees design and delivery through a network of experts and partners.

The role requires deep business acumen, leadership, and collaboration to drive measurable learning outcomes aligned with the company’s oncology priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Combination of experience in facilitating / delivering learning solutions, sales and/or relevant pharmaceutical/oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Oncology Business Leaders.
• Align business leaders on implications of decisions for employee learning and development.
• Develop depth of business understanding to maximize relevance and impact on business outcomes.
• Determine learning strategies based on identified needs and gaps to meet business requirements.
• Prioritize and manage portfolio of work and Learner Experience at your level of responsibility.
• Provide input to curriculum design to ensure business relevance and impact.
• Collaborate with HR partners to integrate learning solutions with talent initiatives.
• Deliver training and support local SMEs providing training as needed.
• Measure and report impact of learning programs against metrics and use data to improve outcomes.
• Ensure coherent, efficient, and strategically aligned L&D planning and implementation.
• Deliver or facilitate training content and coach local L&D colleagues or SMEs.
