Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to oversee day-to-day academic operations and supervise faculty. You will partner with the Dean on BSN program goals, drive curriculum delivery excellence, and ensure regulatory compliance across assigned areas.

Lead faculty development, manage budgets, and coordinate academic strategy with cross-functional teams to support student success and program growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required; doctoral degree in nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered professional nursing licensure required.
• 2+ years experience in nursing education at the bachelor level or above.
• 2+ years in simulation and/or clinical experience development/participation.
• 2+ years previous leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements academic strategy under Dean's direction. Manages assigned faculty schedules, workload, and performance.
• Leads faculty recruitment, onboarding and retention to ensure program excellence.
• Oversees performance management for assigned faculty, with evaluation and feedback.
• Collaborates on budget planning and management for academic programs.
• Ensures curriculum delivery meets accreditation benchmarks and institutional standards.
• Supports clinical placement of nursing students and coordinates resource allocation.
• Acts as liaison to boards and internal stakeholders with professionalism and care.
• Drives program expansion and new academic initiatives responsive to evolving needs.
