Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle seeks an Associate Corporate Counsel to support AWS with worldwide data center expansion. You will structure and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, leases, and related transactions while advising on risk and opportunities across diverse agreements.

You will collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel to manage complex deals, improve workflows, and resolve pre-litigation disputes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal experience.
• Juris Doctor and admission to one state bar.
• Experience drafting and negotiating real estate transactional documents (leases, amendments, sale agreements, easements, development agreements, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements and leases, including high-value transactions for AWS data center expansion.
• Provide legal counsel and contract interpretation to business teams on obligations, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage outside counsel relationships and coordinate resources for transactional work and dispute resolution.
• Develop and implement process improvements across the legal team to enhance efficiency and consistency in handling commercial matters.
• Resolve legal issues in existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation disputes and inquiries.
