Job summary

Henderson Scott US is seeking a Hawaii-licensed attorney for a fully remote role based on one of the Hawaiian islands. You must be admitted to the Hawaii bar and reside in HI to handle consumer protection matters, transactional and civil litigation, while staying strictly within a 40-hour work week.

You will manage a heavy caseload, draft pleadings and motions, negotiate settlements, conduct legal research, and communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve claims.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Hawaii.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.

Responsibilities

Job description

This is a fully remote role outside of court appearances. You must live on one of the Hawaiian islands. You must be admitted to the bar in the state of Hawaii

**there are no billable hours and this is a strictly 40 hour per week role**

This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.

You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contacts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm's clients in HI
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law

Qualifications:

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in HI (multi-state admission would be amazing)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
