Job summary

The Firm in Hawaii is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our consumer protection practice. The ideal candidate will draft pleadings and memoranda, manage a heavy workload, and communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve matters.

The role offers exposure to transactional and civil litigation issues and requires coordination with the New York office via telephone and email. Candidates must be located in Hawaii and admitted to practice law there.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Hawaii.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills — LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a heavy, diversified caseload of Hawaii-based clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on contract law and other consumer-law issues.
• Travel for in-court appearances as required.
